Sometimes topical issues can arise which demand an immediate and un-scheduled response. Phil's blog will discuss these issues in an open and down-to-earth manner.

Thanks...
We are almost a week into the launch of www.understandingmyfinance.co.uk and I would like to thank everyone for their positive feedback.
Behind this launch activity there is a very important message about educating our children and grand children about money. There are huge gaps in our current education system in teaching everyday money management. And then there are the alarming financial problems facing the younger generation through no fault of their own. The combination of being showered with enormous sums of cheap credit and the inability to handle or understand it is potentially explosive.
So much so, we have taken our website to the Houses of Parliament. We have emailed the relevant Secretary of States for Children, Schools and Families (Ed Balls, David Laws and Michael Gove) to provide them with details of our new site and the reasons why we feel there is a need to take this issue seriously.
Will we get a response? Will it make a difference? Who knows, but at least we can say that we are trying to get the issue discussed at the highest level and if there is anything that we can do, we would be more than delighted to help.

Understandingmyfinance.co.uk.
We feel it is time to take a proactive stance in order to help educate the younger generation about money in a positive manner. By understanding the basics of financial management we believe young people can have the comfort and confidence to understand what is actually happening to their own money and can act accordingly.
www.understandingmyfinance.co.uk is our brand new website to help guide people through the money maze in a manner that they can relate to. In simple terms, we want to help them “Understand their Finance”.
Key milestones such as leaving home, going to university, buying a car are tackled head on and advice and guidance provided in a simple and easy to understand manner.
www.understandingmyfinance.co.uk is initially aimed at the children and grandchildren of existing Argyle clients but we feel over the longer term it has a much wider appeal and value.
We hope you like it.
