www.understandingmyfinance.co.uk has been live for about a month and the number of people visiting the site has been very encouraging. The initial feedback has been extremely positive both from clients and people in the financial services industry. We have recently added new articles on how to vote, the importance of the electoral roll, online safety and pre paid cards. The latter may be useful to read, if you have any older children planning on going away on holiday later this summer. New articles are being added on a regular basis, so it well worth checking back to see what is new.
In just over a month (6th July 2008) Phil will be riding in L’Etape du Tour to help raise money for Children in Crisis. The tour will follow the itinerary of the 10th stage of the 2008 TOUR DE FRANCE from PAU to HAUTACAM.
This is a stage of the Tour De France open to the general public and each year around 8,500 people from all over the world take part. The course varies in difficulty from extreme mountain stages to a "moyen montagne" (average mountain stage) with a distance in the region of 100 miles. Make no mistake, it is a very challenging event and like the real Tour de France the event is not without risks, as it includes mountain roads.

Phil is doing all the hard work by taking part in the event but you can get involved too by donating money.
If you are able to help Phil, please click here to donate online.
If you are unable to donate online, don’t worry as you can donate via cheque, by sending it to us at 30, Union Street, Southport, PR9 0QE. Please make your cheque payable to Children in Crisis and email us at advice@argylefinancialgroup.co.uk to let us know a donation is on the way.
We appreciate that you might frequently receive charity requests, but if you are able to support Phil in his bid to raise £10,000 for Children in Crisis we would be very grateful.
