February 2011 | Issue 78

This month sees a major improvement for you in the administration of your Transact account.

You now have the option of cutting out the mass of paper you currently receive from Transact by getting all of your Transact correspondence electronically via the Transact website.

When you next log onto your Transact account you will see what is called a Pick Up Page where you will be able to ask that all communications from Transact which were previously sent to you in paper form through the post be in future made available for you to read online.

We know from our end that this reduction in the huge amount of paper ( we get a paper copy of everything that is sent to you ) we handle will save us lots of time as well as making a very positive contribution to a "Greener World."

If you have any difficulty with this feature just get in touch and we will help you with it.

Pensions Legislation

We are approaching the end of the Tax Year and you may want to know what you can still contribute to your pension fund in the current year. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss your pension.

ISA allowance for 2011/2012

We think ISA's are a very important part of planning for your financial future, helping to provide tax free income when you need it most.

ISA allowance increase for 2011/12Many of you will have Cash ISA's which are giving little or no return in these days of very low interest rates. If you would like to discuss moving a Cash ISA into a Stocks and Shares ISA ( at no cost ) so that you can get some worthwhile interest on your money, then do please get in touch.

In the coming tax year your annual ISA allowance is being increased and each of us will be able to contribute £10,680 into an ISA from April 2011 to March 2012. The forthcoming restrictions on the amount of money we can put into pensions will mean that using your ISA allowance each year will become a vital part of planning your future income.
